So, about a week (and some days) ago, I bought the Marc Jacobs Beauty Genius Gel Super-Charged Oil-Free Foundation. It was on sale for $32.00, originally $48, plus I got 20% off with the VIB rouge sale. It was a steal!
This foundation claims to “erase the past”, “perfect the present”, and “protect the future”. It is a gel foundation that easily builds from a natural to a full coverage. The “Buoyancy gel technology enhances the performance of this long-wear, anti-aging formula”.
This foundation is amazing. I have been wearing this every day since I bought it. It is my new every day (one of my everyday looks in the pictures above) foundation. It is lightweight, long-lasting, and non-cakey. I have dry skin, and it does not stick to any of my dry patches and leaves a smooth second skin light finish. Not to mention, you can also build this foundation up to a full medium coverage. And, it’s a match made in heaven. So, what is the catch you ask, the catch is this foundation is being discontinued. How can I finally find my holy grail everyday foundation just when it’s leaving me.
Is this foundation worth the price, yes? I am mad as hell I am late to the party and just now trying out this foundation, yes? Do I blame Marc Jacobs for being so damn expensive and discontinuing this foundation, yes? But, overall I am glad I purchase it. I got to try something I get to enjoy for a while. It checks all the right boxes and then some. This foundation is Divinity Approved.
