I have dry skin. And, really bad dry patches. So, I recently bought the Neutrogena Microderm System Kit, which was priced at $22.99 at Ulta. It claims to “even more effective than professional microdermabrasion”. Well, I have never got the real thing done. Never had the money for it. And, for those of you who don’t know, “Microdermabrasion is a non-chemical, non-invasive procedure that uses a spray of microcrystals to remove the outermost layer of dry, dead skin cells and reveal younger, healthier-looking skin” at least according to google. That is basically what this is claiming to do, but for way cheaper and in the convenience of your own home.
This at home system uses single use puffs (12 come in the kit) that you attach to the microdermabrasion applicator. The puffs already come pre-dosed with “ultra-fine crystals” and “mild purifiers” that give you a gentle exfoliation. The applicator also vibrates, which is suppose to “boost your skin cells turnover for a firmer, younger-looking skin”.
I have been using this for 2 months now, and I am in love. My face has never been so smooth. Let me break it down for you. When I first use this, you can see a huge difference right away and feel it too. It was soft and had more elasticity. In the beginning, it lasted for about three days before I felt like my skin was shrinking back up. That was when I decided it was time for another treatment (I try to do it every three days), and it went right back to feeling like a baby’s bottom. Now, I cannot really say much on the “younger-looking skin” because I am blessed with a baby face, but the overall of the product is worth it if you have dry skin or dry patches like I do. However, I can testify to the exfoliation being gentle yet thorough. It gets into all the little crevices and strips away the dead skin, without leaving your skin feeling stripped.
Is the Neutrogena Microderm System Kit worth buying/trying? If you have dry skin or dry patches, then yes, this kit is worth buying/trying. I know that going to a salon and getting a facial done is expensive, especially if you do it multiple times a month. Buying this kit allows for you to give yourself a mini facial right at home. It already comes with a month’s supply of puffs and repurchasing the puffs (which is $13.99), comes with a two months supply. And, if you buy during a sale, like I did, you can get it for buy 1 get 1 50% off. The price is right, the system works and does what it says, and it saves you time and money. This system is Divinity Approved💄✔ .
