February Sol Theory – Does it make the cut?

Edit

For those who don’t know, Sol Theory is a sunglasses subscription service, where you choose which one you will receive. It can range from $12.99 to $26.99. You have a choice on if you receive just sunglasses, beauty products with your sunglasses, jewelry with your sunglasses, or double pairs of glasses. For more information on Sol Theory check out my last post or here.

As always(it seems), I am loving this month’s sunglasses. They fit my face perfectly, there black (no seriously that’s a plus), and they doesn’t look cheap.  If last month glasses fit my style without being my style, then this are different my style all the way. The ones I would see in a store and pick for myself. I would buy these without a second glance and the price tag because the scream me right down to the color of them. And, I don’t care that they’re gold. I like how the look and make me feel like a million bucks!

WINNER!

As for the products, this month I received:

Beauty Creations Cosmetics Contour Palette – Comes with 5 shades and a cute little brush. This palette seems to have a variety of shades for different skin tones, a Beige, Natural, Taupe, Soft Brown, Dark Brown.

I haven’t played with all of the shades in this palette, but the ones that I have played with I quite enjoy. The shades I have tried are natural, taupe, and soft brown. I prefer taupe as a contour shade and soft brown as a bronzer, if I am feeling extra. They do kick up some powder,  but if you tap off your brush, you shouldn’t have any problems.

Lonvitalite C7 Collagen & Gold Lip Mask – The Lonvitalité Collagen Lip Mask treatment helps to replenish your lips with natural plant based collagen to leave them hydrated, luscious and plump. The plant based collagen penetrates and moisturises the lips and surrounding area by accelerating blood circulation, resulting in a more youthful appearance.

I normally like to try masks more than once, to get the full feel of them before I review them. However, I only received one, so keep that in mind. With that said, my lips didn’t really feel any different after I used this product. They also didn’t really look any different. At first, I thought they may have been a little more hydrated the normal, but after a minute or so the feeling was gone. Not sure if it worked or not.

L. A. Girl Matte Flat Velvet Lipstick in shade Snuggle – Matte Flat Velvet Lipstick comes in 26 bold shades that are rich in pigment and filled with moisture. With added shea butter to hydrate lips and a soft, smooth application, your lips will feel as gorgeous as they look!

Love this little bugger. It is pigmented, and has a nice moisturizing feel on the lips. Stays put on the (my) lips for quite a while. And, it wears off evenly. Now if only I could find where I put it.

Overall

Was the February Sol Theory box worth its price? Yes, but bearly there. Like always (so far at least) I loved the sunglasses that I received. But, the products, other than the lipstick, I could really do without. I don’t need a contour palette I am only going to really use one shade and the lip mask didn’t really do anything. Sadly, this might have been my least favorite box so far.

Let’s hope next month is better.
