Can We Dupe It?
In today’s can we dupe it, we have Milk’s makeup highlighter vs. Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder in Pink Glow.
Milk Makeup Highlighter – Is supposed to be a universal highlighter to brighten up the skin. This highlighter has features that have a “blendable micro-shimmer with natural oils for added hydration”. It is enriched with mango butter, peach nectar, and avocado that is combined with Milk Melt Technology, to absorb instantly on contact with body heat to leave skin with a glowing appearance. It is formulated WITHOUT Parabens, Sulfates, and Phthalates. Priced at $24 at Sephora.
Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder in Pink Glow – It is supposed to be a light-reflecting powder that will give your complexion a “high-impact, light-reflective glow”. It is intended for you to brush on the Highlighting Powder to produce the luminous effect, for a sheer color that’s ideal for highlighting and strobing. Ideal for playing up your best features, or so it says. Priced at $48 at Sephora.
Milk Makeup Highlighter is more of a peachy (yellow tone) color, that leaves your cheeks with a yellow natural glow from within, while Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder in Pink Glow is pinker, and it gives off a pink healthy glow. Now, this is on my skin tone and may show up differently on yours. Are the dupes for each other? I am going have to say no, you can, however, achieve the same kind of iridescent sparkly holo effect that the Bobbi Brown highlighting Powder gives you (for half the price) if you don’t mind having the peachy (yellow) tone over the pink. Nonetheless, I will also say that on the cheeks that they come very close to being dupes if blended very well and mix with a blush of your choice.
Tell me in the comment section bellow, could you tell the difference between the effects of the two? Did you guess which was which without looking at the picture’s description?
