Sol Theory (August Box)

Becoming a Sol Theory Ambassador:

I was asked to become an ambassador for Sol Theory and I decided to accept. Here’s why. I have a huge obsession with makeup and beauty products. And, as you can see from my previous posts, I love receiving monthly subscription service boxes/bags. And, from what I have seen from their previous post and website, it made me greatly intrigued. One thing you guys might not know about me is collecting sunglasses is one of my vices. But, as a college student, I am always on a budget, so I am only able to expand one of my vices at a time. One of the reasons Sol Theory intrigued me so much was because of the versatility it offers with its subscription boxes. They have 9 different boxes. Each subscription box comes with different little ‘extras’. I say ‘extras’ because the sunglasses are the main showstopper. They have worldwide shipping at $3.99 US Shipping, $9.99 for Canada. International Shipping is $11.99, which I would say is fairly priced.

Their Philosophy – Be bold. Be chic. Never boring. Their Mission – Is to give you fun, trendy eyewear while keeping up with the fashion trends of the seasons. For those trendsetters and risk-takers.

First Month’s Box (August 2016)

The subscription box I chose to receive was the HERS Single Pair + Three
Beauty Products. The first month’s box had me feeling myself. I absolutely love the sunglasses that came. I even had to create a makeup look just for them. Here’s the thing. Normally, I probably wouldn’t have even picked these up if I saw them at a store, I would have just passed them on by. They just aren’t my normal cup of tea. But, I am always up for trying new things. And, when I put them on, let’s just say it was like a first kiss and I felt fireworks happening. I fell in love with them. I love how they fit my face, and they don’t make my already chunky face look bigger. Like I said earlier, I was feeling myself a little in them.

However, the sunglasses were not all that I received in my box. I also received the Urban Studio’s Ultimate Blending Sponge, priced between $5(sale)-$12, an L.A. Girl Matte Pigment Gloss in Iconic, priced at $6, and last by certainly not least a Kiko Milano Eyeliner in 800 Golden Silk, priced at $4. I enjoy all these ‘extras’ but, the L.A. Girls lippie, and that is only because of the color. Personal preference and all.

Overall

Will I be continuing? Yes! I truly liked what I received in my box. While, I wish there was some way to personalize it, either through reviewing or beauty quiz, the beauty box overall was a win in my book. If not being able to personalize your beauty items is a problem for you, there are serval other subscriptions here you can choose from.
